Kerri Cooper Named PSAC Pitcher of the Week
 BLOOMSBURG- Senior pitcher Kerri Cooper (Markham, Ontario/Markham Dist.) was named the PSAC East Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 1st. Cooper finished the week with a perfect 4-0 record, throwing three complete games including two shutouts. She had 27 strikeouts in 22 innings and had a 0.62 ERA.
Cooper pitched a one-hit shutout for a 3-0 complete game victory over Shippensburg on April 1st. She had three strikeouts in the win.
Cooper picked up two victories over Millersville on Friday afternoon. In game one, she pitched seven scoreless innings for her second complete game shutout of the week. She only gave up two hits in the victory and had career-high 11 strikeouts. In the nightcap, Cooper did not give up a hit in 1 2/3 innings of relief to earn the victory.
Cooper got her fourth victory of the week in a 3-2 win over Kutztown on Saturday. She pitched seven innings, striking out 10 batters.
For the season, Cooper has a 0.72 ERA and a 9-1 record. She has 72 strikeouts in 68.0 innings pitched. She has held her opponents to just a .151 batting average. She is tied for first in the PSAC for shutouts with three and is second in the conference in strikeouts per game and wins with 7.41 and 3, respectively.
Bloomsburg has a record of 21-3 and is currently ranked 3rd in the nation in Division II. Cooper and the Huskies will be back in action on April 9th at home for a PSAC matchup against West Chester at 3 p.m.
