BLOOMSBURG—For the third time this season Bloomsburg University pitcher Kerri Cooper (Markham, Ont./Markham District) has been named the PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week.

Cooper was honored after posting a 2-1 record and 0.00 ERA last week. In three appearances she had two complete games and one shutout in14.1 innings pitched.  She allowed just seven hits, three runs (none earned) with four walks and 11 strikeouts. Her best game of the week was a four-hit shutout she threw against East Stroudsburg, a 6-0 win for the Huskies this past Saturday.

Cooper, who was just named the Most Valuable Player of the Bloomsburg University softball team, is 15-2 this season with a 0.81 ERA. She leads the Huskies in shutouts with five and in strikeouts with 105 in 104 innings of work.

Bloomsburg, 35-5, will begin post-season play this Friday against Lock Haven in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs.
