Huskies Ranked 2nd in Nation in Division II

BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University softball team is ranked 2nd in the nation in Division II in the latest USA Today/NFCA Division II Top 25. The Huskies moved up from the number three spot in last week's poll.

The Huskies are currently ranked 23-3 overall and 9-1 in the PSAC after sweeping a double-header over West Chester yesterday. Senior pitcher Kerri Cooper threw a perfect game in game one of the double-header, a 9-0 win. In game two, Amber Cowher pitched a two-hitter, striking out a season-high 10 batters. Lisa Mull was 5-for-5 on the day with four doubles and three RBI.

USA Today/NFCA Division II Top 25 The USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 is voted on by eight NCAA Division II coaches representing each of the eight Division II regions. Records are through games of April 7. First-place votes are in parentheses. The next ranking will be announced Wednesday, April 24.
