BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University pitcher Amber Cowher (Williamsport/Williamsport) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week for the period ending April 13th.

Cowher went 2-0 and did not allow a run in the 15 innings that she pitched last week.  She struck out 22 and issued just five walks.  Cowher allowed just four hits in both games.  She fanned a career-high 14 versus East Stroudsburg and eight in an eight-inning win over Shippensburg.

For the season, Cowher is 11-4 with a 1.40 ERA. She has 14 complete games, seven shutouts and has struck out 102 and walked just 30.

This is the second time this season Cowher has earned the Pitcher of the Week honor from the PSAC and ninth time in her career.

Bloomsburg, 21-7, 8-2 in the PSAC East, will visit Millersville on Tuesday for a twinbill starting at 3 p.m.
