Box Score Game Two

BLOOMSBURG—Senior Sara Roba (Emmaus/Emmaus) went 3-5 with two homers and four runs batted in to lead Bloomsburg University to a 5-2 and 6-0 win over Holy Family University on Friday. The pair of victories upped the Huskies winning streak to 18 games.

In game one, the Huskies took a 2-0 lead on a two-run homer from Roba. After the Lady Tigers tied the score with two runs in the top of the fifth inning, Bloomsburg scored the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the fifth. Stef Kline (Sinking Spring/Wilson) had the big hit in the inning with a two-run single, while Roba later added a run scoring hit for a 5-2 lead.

Pitcher Jen Probst (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) went the distance for the Huskies striking out two, walking one and allowing just six hits.

In the nightcap, Bloomsburg got all the runs it would need in the second inning when Sarah McDaniel had a sacrifice fly and Kelly Zarski (Danville/Danville) doubled in two runs for a 3-0 lead. The Huskies got two runs in the third, one coming on a homer from Roba and an RBI single from Tara Emery (Sunbury/Shikellamy), who also had an RBI single in the fifth.

Freshman Ashley Lynn (Riverside/Danville) went the distance tossing a four-hitter and striking out four for her fourth win of the season.

The Huskies, 23-1, will host East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
