Game one was a pitchers dual between the Huskies' Amanda Smith (Sandy Ridge/Philipsburg-Osceola) and the Lady Raiders' Kelly Tiesi with no scoring through the first six innings. Tiesi had a no-hitter broken up in the top of the seventh when she singled to lead of the inning. After being sacrificed to second, she went to third on a single by Sara Roba (Emmaus/Emmaus). However, Tiesi got the final two outs to escape the jam.

Shippensburg scored the only run on a double from Jaime Dacey and a single by Sarah Costa in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Smith was the hard luck loser for the Huskies allowing just one run, while striking out nine.

In game two, Shippensburg took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Bloomsburg tied the score in the top of the seventh inning with a pair of runs. Kelly Zarski (Danville/Danville) singled and one out later Roba hit her seventh homer of the year down the left field line.

However, the Lady Raiders got the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh Dacey singled home Liz Corr who had doubled to lead off the inning.

Zarski went 2-3 to lead the Huskies in game two, while Roba was 1-3 with the two-run homer.

Bloomsburg, 25-3, 6-4 in the PSAC East, will host Mansfield on Saturday at 1 p.m. and East Stroudsburg Sunday at 1 p.m. in a makeup doubleheader.
