Bloomsburg Softball Moves Up in National Poll


BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University softball team is ranked 18th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. The Huskies moved up seven spots from number 25 after going 6-1 last week.

Last week Bloomsburg, 13-5, swept a doubleheader from Goldey-Beacom on Thursday and then won four more games at the West Virginia Weslyan Tournament over the weekend losing only to 19th ranked Gannon University 4-0.

The Huskies will open conference play on Friday when they host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival Shippensburg at 1 p.m. at Jan Hutchinson Field.
