Softball Ranked 16th in Poll


BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University softball team is ranked 16th in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II poll.

The Huskies, 12-2 on the year, moved up from 19th in the last ranking two weeks ago. Bloomsburg has won four straight games and 11 of its last 12. It is playing this weekend in the West Virginia Wesleyan Tournament in Salem, Va.

Alabama-Hutntsville continues to hold the top spot in the NFCA Division II Top 25 poll. The Chargers received six of a possible eight first-place votes and have opened the season with a 7-4 record. Angelo State received the other two first-place votes, but sits third in the poll behind No. 2 Georgia College & State.
