Huskies Complete Day One at PSAC Championships

INDIANA, PA-- The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track teams completed day one at the 2008 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships at Indiana (PA) University.

At 10,000 meters for the men, Misha Litvinov (Drums/Hazleton) finished seventh in a lifetime personal record (PR) of 31:52.11, while Mike Dalton (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXXIII) was ninth in 32:19.05. In his final event as a Huskie, Tim Marcoe (Lansdale/Lansdale Catholic) finished 10th in 33:06.54.

In the 800-meter preliminaries, Sandy Newell (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) won her heat and had the seventh fastest time with a mark of 2:15.98. Newell will now advance to Saturday's 800-meter final.

For the men at 800-meters, Dan Tallarico (Pittsburgh/North Hills) ran a lifetime PR of 1:55.86. Tallarico was seeded 16th in the event and finished with the 10th fastest time.

Action will continue on Saturday at the PSAC championships.
