Huskies Qualify for PSAC Championships at Bucknell Meet

LEWISBURG--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's indoor track teams had four athletes qualify for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships at the Bucknell Winter Classic meet on Saturday.
Qualifying for the PSAC championships at 5000-meters was Dave Moyer (Boyertown/Boyertown) who ran a lifetime best 15:50.98. Also, in the 3000-meters Mike Dalton (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXIII) ran a lifetime best 8:47.58, the fifth fastest time in school history to qualify for PSACs. In the women's 3000 event, Shannon Hoffman (Watsontown/Warrior Run) qualified for the PSAC championships with a lifetime best run of 10:42.47, while in the men's 200-meter, Nate Snodgrass (Downingtown/Downingtown West) ran 23.48 seconds, fourth fastest in school history, earn at a spot at the PSAC championships. He also narrowly missed qualifying for PSACs in the 400-meters with a time of 52.86 seconds. Ashley Shuck (Milton/Milton) also bettered her PSAC-qualifying time at 3000-meters with a run of 10:27.45.
A couple of other BU competitors also just missed out on PSAC championships qualifying times. Samantha Matthews (Baltimore County, MD/Glenelg Country) had her third personal-best in a row at 3000 meters with a time of 11:07.23, while Bobby Furman (Broomal/Marple Newton) ran 15 seconds faster, and just three seconds off a PSAC qualifying time) than his previous best in the 3000 meters in 9:02.40, with Katie Corson (Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City) just missing out on qualifying in the 400 meters with a time of 62.83.
