Meck and Anceravage Earn All-PSAC Honors

MILLERSVILLE-- Katie Meck (Dillsburg/Northern) finished sixth at 3000-meters to earn All-PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) honors for the second time in as days at the 2009 PSAC Track and Field Championships at Millersville. In addition, freshman Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) took seventh in the javelin to also earn All-PSAC honors.

Meck ran a 10:29.16 for 3000-meters, the fifth fastest time in school history a day after taking third at 5000-meters. Along with Meck, Ashley Shuck (Milton/Milton) was 12th in the event in 10:55.45, while Shannon Hoffman (Watsontown/Warrior Run) was 16th in 11:10.94.

In the javelin, Anceravage had a toss of 117' 7" (35.85 m) to finish seventh and also earn All-PSAC honors.

At 1500-meters the Huskies Angela Borealo (Easton/Easton) was 17th in 4:58.82 with Hoffman 18th in 5:01.73 and Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) 20th in 5:12.71.
