MILLERSVILLE--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track and field team had four All-PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) performances on day two of the 2009 PSAC championships at Millersville.
In the women's 5000-meter event, Katie Meck (Dillsburg/Northern) earned a spot on the podium after she finished third in a time of 18:20.27, while Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) finished eighth in 19:00.71 with both athletes earning All-PSAC honors.
In the men's 5000-meter race, the Huskies had two more All-PSAC performances after Mike Dalton (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXIII) took sixth in 15:29.37, while Bobby Furman (Broomall/Marple Newton) was eighth in 15:44.06.
In the final day of the women's Heptathlon competition, the Huskies Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) finished 12th with a school-record point total of 3555. On the day Anceravage had a long jump of 13'2" (4.01 m); finished second in the javelin with a throw of 115'10" (35.31 m); and ran the 800 meters in 2:44.52.
Action will wrap-up on Saturday at Millersville University.
