Huskies Close Out Regular Season at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their regular season competition by taking part in the Lock Haven Qualifier on Saturday.

For the men, Auston Martzall (Myerstown/ELCO) ran a season-best in winning the 5000-meter race in 16:01.19, while Dave Moyer (Boyertown/Boyertown) ran a person-best in the Steeplechase and finished second in 10:14.40. In the 1500-meter race, Bobby Furman (Broomall/Marple Newton) finished fourth in a time of 4:16.56, while at 800-meters Nate Snodgrass (Downingtown/Downingtown West) was eighth in 22.93 seconds, just missing the PSAC qualifying time of 22.80 seconds. In the 100-meter dash, Joe Illenye (Lincoln Park, NJ/Boonton) had a personal-best run of 11.95 seconds.

In field events, Adam Mowry (Maple Glen/Hatboro-Horsham) has a personal best mark in the pole vault with 4.35 meters (14'2") and took third, while Mitchell Thompson (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) also jumped 4.35 meters and finished fourth. In the javelin, Chris Sokoloski (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) threw 47.16 meters (154" 7") and took eighth.

For the women, Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) finished second in the javelin with a throw of 35.91 meters (117' 8").

Next up for the Huskies will be the PSAC championships May 7-9 at Millersville.
