Huskies Compete at St. Francis Red Flash Open
Final Results
LORETTO, PA--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track teams competed on Saturday at the St. Francis (PA) University Red Flash Open.
In the 3000 meter race, Katilyn Meck (Dillsburg/Northern) ran the sixth fastest time in school history and took first in the event with a mark of 10:30.07, while Ashley Shuck (Milton/Milton) took third in the event in 10:43.66. Both marks were PSAC championship qualifying times. At 800 meters Meck was eighth in 2:23.93, the 10th-best time in school history and a PSAC qualifying time. At 1500 meters Shannon Hoffman (Watsontown/Warrior Run) was finished seventh in 4:56.45.
In field events for the women, Hannah Becker (Grantville/Northern Lebanon) finished eighth in the long jump with a personal best of 4.88m (16'0.25"). Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) was sixth in the javelin, throwing 35.68m (117' 01"). She also tied for third in the high jump with personal best mark of 1.50meters (4' 11").
For the men, Mitchell Thompson (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) was sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.25 meters (13'11.25''). At 5000 meters, Bobby Furman (Broomall/Marple Newton) took first in a time of 15.41.64, while Nate Snodgrass (Downingtown/Downingtown West) just missed PSAC qualifying times in both the 200 and 400 meter events. Snodgrass ran 22.82 in the 200 (just off the PSAC standard of 22.80) and 50.93 in the 400 (PSAC standard of 50.70).
