BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg University freshman Kelly Burkhart (Sayre/Athens HS) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Basketball Eastern Division Rookie of the Week for the period ending Feb. 8th.

In her best game of the week, Burkhart came off the bench to score 14 points for the Huskies in their 88-65 win over Cheyney University. In the game, Burkhart, a 5-8 guard, was 5-5 from the floor, including 4-4 from behind the three-point arc. She also added two rebounds and one assist.

For the year, Burkhart is averaging 2.6 points a game and has connected on eight three pointers.

Bloomsburg, 12-8, 4-3 in the PSAC East, will host Millersville Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
