Game Stats, Play by Play

Maria Divecchio dropped a game high 18 points to lead the visiting Edinboro Fighting Scots to a 78-59 win over Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Bloomsburg's only lead of the game was in the opening minutes as Kelly Burkhart (Sayre/Athens) hit a three pointer giving the Huskies the early 3-2 advantage. Edinboro then took the lead at 7-5 and never trailed the rest of the game.

After trailing by as many as 19 late in the first half, the Huskies cut the Fighting Scots advantage to 11 on a Jamie Kauczka (Kingston/Wyoming Valley West) jumper with 13:36 remaining in the contest. However, Edinboro went on a 14-4 run after the bucket by Kauczka to put the game away.

Edinboro capitalized on Bloomsburg's mistakes, scoring 30 points off 25 turnovers.

The Huskies shot 36% from the field and were two of 12 (17%) from behind the arc.

Along with Divecchio's 18 points, three other Fighting Scots hit double digits. Courtney Thompson scored 12 points and Suzanne Petruska and Megan Zitner each chipped in with 10. The Fighting Scots are now 11-3 on the year while Bloomsburg is 5-7.
