Bloomsburg Falls to St. Rose in Women's Basketball

SYRACUSE, NY —Courtney Ludwig scored a game-high 24 points to lead the College of St. Rose to a come-from-behind, 59-52, win over Bloomsburg University in women's college basketball action Sunday. The game was part of the Brooklyn Pickle Tip-Off Classic at LeMoyne College.

The Huskies held a slim 27-25 lead at halftime. However, the Golden Knights outscored the Huskies 34-25 in the final 20 minutes to win by seven. The College of St. Rose shot 43.8 percent from the floor in the second half, while limiting Bloomsburg to just 25 percent shooting from the floor in the second half.

Bloomsburg was led in scoring by Michelle Albanese who had 14 points, while Stef Kline and Dominique Deveaux each chipped in with 11. Meggi Rothermel was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in the two games.

Along with Ludwig's 24 points, Kelli-Ann Henry added 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Kristin Zeh added 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Bloomsburg, 1-1, will play Wilmington College Friday, Nov. 21st at 1 p.m. in the Millersville University Classic.
