Bloomsburg's Kauczka Named Pre-Season All-PSAC in Women's Basketball

BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University senior forward Jamie Kauczka (Kingston/ Wyoming Valley West) was named to the 2005 Pre-Season Women's Basketball All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team. Dominique Lewis and Justine Pfaff of West Chester, Danielle Marshall of Millersville, Alison Tagliaferri of Mansfield, and Mercedes Van Wagner of Kutztown were also named to the team.

Kauczka, who was named to the All-PSAC second team last season, is the Huskies leading returning scorer and rebounder. She averaged 12.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while playing in all 25 games for the Huskies. Kauczka's outstanding play helped lead Bloomsburg to a berth in the PSAC East playoffs last season.

For her career, Kauczka has averaged 9.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in her three seasons at Bloomsburg. She will need 255 points this season to reach 1,000 points for her career.

The Huskies will open their season November 18th when they host the Patriot Inn/ Huskies Women's Basketball Tip-Off Classic.
