Huskies Fall to Kutztown, 60-46

BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg University's Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) led the Huskies with 14 points in a 60-46 loss to Kutztown on Saturday afternoon. This marks the final game for seniors: Kegerreis, Kelly Joyce (Ashland/Cardinal Brennan), and Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts).

In the first half, both teams traded baskets until Kutztown went on an 11-2 run with five minutes left to play, ending the half ahead by seven at a score of 29-22.

In the second half, Mansfield came out strong bringing the lead to nine. Bloomsburg fought back, going on a 10-2 run to bring the score within two at 31-33. The Golden Bears would go on a 14-4 run taking an 11 point lead with 5:58 to play. The Huskies wouldn't come no closer than eight with the final score at 60-46.

Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) had 10 points, while Healy chipped in with eight points and Joyce added seven.

Rachel Wisemiller led the Golden Bears with 15 points, while Melissa McQuade and Chantelle Schroeder each had thirteen.

Bloomsburg hosts Kutztown on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the final game of the year.
