Huskies Defeat Mansfield, 75-63

BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg University's Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) lead the Huskies with a game high 20 points and 10 rebounds to a 75-63 win over Mansfield on Wednesday night.

In the first half, both teams traded baskets until Mansfield went on a 10-5 run over five minutes giving the Mountaineers a five point lead with 2:55 left to play. The Huskies answered back keeping the Mountaineers scoreless, going 8-0 to end the half 39-36.

In the second half, Mansfield came out strong, tying the game up and taking the lead. Bloomsburg fought back again, going on a 17-4 run with 1:37 left to play. The Huskies hit their free throws down the stretch to seal the win at 75-63.

Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) had 19 points and Kelly Joyce (Ashland/Cardinal Brennan) had 16, while Emily Brown (Phoenixville/Villa Maria Academy) and Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts) both chipped in with nine.

Mallory Moore and Nicole Pender lead Mansfield with 15 points each, while Teagan Atallah had 10 for the Mountaineers.

Bloomsburg hosts Kutztown on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the final game of the year.
