Wieller led an offensive onslaught for the Huskies scoring 18 of her points in the opening half. Leading by 10 points, 21-11, with 12 minutes to go in the opening period, the Huskies went on a 36-10 run to end the half to take control of the game. Wieller hit on six of seven shots from three-point range in the first 20 minutes, while Jen Dervarics (Emmaus/Emmaus) came off the bench to add eight points and seven assists as the Huskies led by 36 at the break.
In the second half coach Bill Cleary used his bench liberally with all but one player reaching the scoring column. The Huskies finished the game with 18 made three-pointers breaking the school record of 12 set back in the 1994-95 season against Clarion.
Wieller finished 21 points and seven three-pointers, one shy of the school record. Tanejha Smith (Allentown/William Allen) scored 15 points, while Lauren Biczelewski (West Chester/Bayard Rustin) added 12 points and seven rebounds. Dervarics finished 11 points and 11 assists, while Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) also scored 11 for Bloomsburg. Shannon Sacco scored a game-high 25 points for Penn State-Schuylkill (4-4).
Bloomsburg (5-1) is idle till Dec. 22 when it plays at Philadelphia University.
