Bucher was named to the first team after being a second-team selection the past two seasons, and the PSAC East Rookie of the Year in 1996-97. She led Bloomsburg with 12.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season.

On Feb. 9, against Cheyney, Bucher scored her 1,000th career point. She finished her career 11th on the all-time leading scorers list with 1,084 points. She is also fifth on the all-time career blocked shots list with 84.

The Bloomsburg women (17-10) finished third in the PSAC East and made it to the conference semifinals before falling to Shippensburg, 85-62.
