Bloomsburg Downs West Chester in Women's Tennis

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team got their first PSAC win of the season with a 9-0 victory over West Chester.

At first doubles, Iida Hokkanen (Helsinki, Finland) and Emily Pratt (New Hope/New Hope-Solebury) beat the Rams, 8-1, while second doubles, Tracy Nissenbaum (Allentown/Sagemont, FL) and Lauren Colfer (Philadelphia/St. Basil Academy) got an 8-4 win. At third doubles Emily Murphy (Montgomery/Methacton) and Torie Cunningham (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) got an 8-0 win.

In singles, Hokkanen gave up only one game, winning 6-0, 6-1, while at second singles Kim Harvey (Jamesport, NY/Riverhead) got a 6-0, 6-0 win. Murphy got a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles, while Cunningham blanked her opponent, 6-0, 6-0. At the five slot, Lindsey Wyckoff (North Canton, OH/Hoover) won 6-2, 6-1, while at six, Jaclyn Kelly (Havertown/Haverford) won in a third-set replacing tiebreaker, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 ().

The Huskies will host California (PA) tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
