Bloomsburg Gets Shutout Versus East Stroudsburg
EAST STROUDSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team defeated East Stroudsburg University, 9-0, on Friday afternoon.
The Huskies swept the doubles earning wins at number one from the team of Lauren Colfer (Philadelphia/St. Basil Academy) and Tracy Nissenbaum (Allentown/Sagemont, FL) and at number two from the team of Torie Cunningham (Greenlaw, NY/Harborfields) and Emily Pratt (New Hope/New Hope-Solebury). At number three the team of Kimberly Harvey (Jamesport, NY/Riverhead) and Lindsey Wyckoff (North Canton, OH/Hoover) were also winners.
In singles action, Wyckoff won at number one, while Cunningham won in two sets at number two, 6-1, 6-3. Harvey was able to pick up her second win of the day at number three winning 6-0, 6-0. Nissenbaum cruised at number four, while Pratt also won easily at number five, 6-0, 6-1. Kelly earned the win at number six, 7-5, 6-4.
The Huskies improve to 10-6 on the year and will next be in action Sunday at Bucknell at 3:00 p.m.
