Bloomsburg Rallies to Beat Kutztown in Women's Tennis
KUTZTOWN - The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team rallied from being down 2-1 to defeat Kutztown University, 5-4, on Wednesday.
Bloomsburg fell behind 2-1 after doubles with the Huskies' lone win coming from the team of Lindsey Wyckoff (North Canton, OH/Hoover) and Tracy Nissenbaum (Allentown/William Allen) at number three by a 10-8 score.
In singles play, Bloomsburg swept matches three through six to pull out the win. Emily Murphy (Worcester/Methacton) was a winner at three, 6-3, 7-5; while Torie Cunningham (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) was a winner at four, 6-1, 6-2. At number five, Wyckoff earned a 6-2, 7-5 win with Lauren Colfer (Philadelphia/St. Basil Academy) picking up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number six.
Bloomsburg, now 11-2, will face Queens College of New York on Saturday at noon.
