Bloomsburg Women's Tennis Tallies 10th Win of the Season
BLOOMSBURG--The Bloomsburg University women's tennis posted its 10th win of the season in a 6-3 victory over New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). With the win, the Huskies move to 10-1 on the year.
The Huskies started out the match winning two of the three doubles matches. Iida Hokkanen (Helsinki, Finland) and Torie Cunningham (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) got an 8-6 win at second doubles, third, Lindsey Wyckoff (North Canton, OH/Hoover) and Tracy Nissenbaum (Allentown/Sagemont, FL) got an 8-3 win.
In singles, Cunningham cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles, while Lauren Colfer (Philadelphia/St. Basil Academy) got a 6-0, 6-1 win at the sixth slot. At third singles, Emily Murphy (Montgomery/ Methacton) won, 6-2, 6-4, while at fifth singles, Wyckoff got a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
The Huskies will host PSAC East-rival Millersville on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
