Bloomsburg Wrestling Defeats Findlay at Bloomsburg Duals

BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University (2-1) wrestling team defeated Findlay (1-4), 33-7, Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field House in the second match of the Bloomsburg Duals.

Bloomsburg started strong out of the gate, with George Carter (Greensburg/Greensburg Salem) winning by fall 1:14 into the 157-pound match. Ryan Garner (Dover/Upper Perkiomen) followed that up with a 14-5 major decision at the 165-weight class. In the 174-pound match, Hunter Guenot (Karthaus/Bald Eagle Area) won by fall, 2:15 into the bout.

Chad Hoare (Reynoldsville/DuBois) put the Huskies ahead 19-0 with a 5-0 decision at the 184-pound weight class. Lewis Polley (Jacksonville, NC/Jacksonville) won his heavyweight bout by major decision, 10-2, while Michael Collins (Pequannock/Pequannock) won the 125-pound match by a 6-4 decision. Mark Piermattei (Middleburg/Middleburg) was victorious at 133-pounds with a 12-1 major decision. At 141-pounds, Brad Forbes (Downingtown/Downingtown) won by a 3-1 decision in overtime.
