Bloomsburg Wrestling Tops Princeton at Bloomsburg Duals

BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University wrestling team defeated Princeton (0-2), 39-3, Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field House in the last match of the Bloomsburg Duals. Bloomsburg defeated Findlay in the first match, bringing their record to 3-1.

Bloomsburg claimed the first match to take a 6-0 lead with George Carter (Greensburg/Greensburg Salem) winning by fall 0:53 into the 157-pound match, his second pin of the day. Ryan Garner (Dover/Upper Perkiomen) increased the Huskies' lead by following up with a 6-5 decision at the 165-weight class. In the 174-pound match, Hunter Guenot (Karthaus/Bald Eagle Area) won by a 19-10 major decision.

At the 184-pound weight class, Chad Hoare (Reynoldsville/DuBois) put the Huskies ahead 16-0 with an 8-5 decision. Tony Milone (Newton/Council Rock) won by major decision, 13-2, at Heavyweight, while Michael Collins (Pequannock/Pequannock) pinned his opponent in the 125-pound match at 6:27. At 133-pounds, Justin Haupt (Nazareth/Northampton) followed up with a pin at 2:43 in the bout. At 141-pounds, Brad Forbes (Downingtown/Downingtown) won an exciting 6-4 match in overtime, while Jacob Warner (Pine Grove/Pine Grove) sealed the win for the Huskies with an 11-2 major decision at 149-pounds.

The Huskies go on the road next to face Pittsburgh, Monday at 7:30.
