Buffalo defeats Findlay at Bloomsburg Duals

BLOOMSBURG—The Buffalo Bulls led from start and never trailed as they defeated the Findlay Oilers 22-12 at the Bloomsburg Duals at Bloomsburg University.

At 125, Buffalo's Mark McKnight jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the second period against Findlay's Andy Uhl. McKnight compiled three takedowns in the match, defeating Uhl, 17-4, in a major decision.

In the 133 match, Brian Sebaaly of Buffalo earned a riding time point at the end of regulation to defeat Findlay's Jack Scott, 6-5. The scored was tied when Sebaaly was called for a stalling point in the third period. Sebaaly recorded two takedowns in the win.

At 141, Findlay's Joey Simcoe put Findlay on the board with a 5-4 win over Mike Trotta. Leading 5-2 in the

third, Trotta got a takedown nearing the end of the match, but Simcoe held on for the win.

Findlay's Angelo Vettese dominated his match at 149 from the start, tallying three takedowns in the match against Jody Ashline. Vettese also earned four back-points against Ashline in the 10-4 win.

At 157, Buffalo's Dave Edwards won by a technical fall, 17-0, against Findlay's Justin Busnick. 12 of Edwards' 17 points were on backpoints.

In the 165 match, Buffalo's Nick Rausenberger beat Joe Patterson 12-6. In the win, Rausenberger recorded three takedowns.

Buffalo's Edward Pawlak picked up the win for the Bulls at 174. Pawlak led 3-2 against Jeff Ostholtoff going into the third period, and picked up the win with two, third period takedowns to win, 7-2.

At 184, Kris Klepacz of Findlay jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead over Garrett Hicks. Hicks responded with a first period reversal in the first. He added a takedown with two back points to cut the deficit to 7-6 at the end of two periods. However, no one scored in the third and the match ended 7-6 in favor of Klepacz.

Buffalo's Kyle Cerminara pushed the Buffalo advantage to 22-9 after 197, with a 12-3 major decision of Clint Salisbury. Cerminara led the entire match and picked up a takedown late to win a major decision.

In the final match, Brett Boggs of Findlay picked up an escape and a takedown in the third period to defeat Greg Thomas of Buffalo, 3-1.
