Huskies Fall to 12th Ranked Mountaineers

The Bloomsburg University wrestling team fell to West Virginia, 32-7 in EWL action. The match dropped the Huskies' record to 2-6, 0-2 in the EWL, while the Mountaineers improve to 2-2, 1-0 in the EWL.

The Mountaineers won eight of 10 matches to defeat the Huskies. Bloomsburg's two wins came at 157 and 174. At 157, Josh Loew (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) defeated Drew Joseph in a 9-4 decision, improving his record to 2-0 on the season.

At 174, Justin Johnson (Wyalusing/Wyalusing), ranked 20th in the nation, defeated the Mountaineers' Doug Studenic in a 15-7 major decision.

Chad Hoare (Reynoldsville/DuBois), at 197, fell to Matt Daddino, ranked 18th in the nation, in an 11-5 decision, falling to 9-9 on the year. At 133, Bryan Hart (Easton/Easton) dropped a 5-2 decision to Seth Lisa. Hart now has a 12-5 record on the season.

The Huskies will be back in action, Friday, Jan. 16 against EWL-rival, Clarion. The match will begin at 7:30 p.m.
