Mike Sees Wins Buffalo Open

BUFFALO, NY- Bloomsburg University wrestler Mike Sees (Northumberland/Shikellamy) won the University of Buffalo Open in the 125 weight class this Saturday. Sees went 4-0 and defeated fellow Bloomsburg wrestler Ian Moser (Dover, DE/Caesar Rodney) by injury default in the finals.

At 141 pounds, George Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/Riverside) finished second after advancing to the finals before falling to Buffalo's Ryan Needle 8-4. Dennis Bermudez (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) also finished second at 149 pounds, losing to Cornell's Jordan Lean 17-5 in the finals.

Jesse Hasseman (Franklin, IN/Franklin) (184) and Mike Spaid (Perkiomenville/Boyertown) (285) each finished third in their respective weight classes, while Rickey Schmelyun (New Oxford/Bermudian Springs) placed fourth at 165 pounds and Trent Filer (Shinglehouse/Oswayo Valley) placed fourth at 141 pounds.

The Huskies will officially open their season on November 11th when they wrestle at the Oklahoma Gold Classic at 10 a.m.
