Bloomsburg Falls to Edinboro in Wrestling

EDINBORO-- The Bloomsburg University wrestling team dropped a match to 14th-ranked Edinboro University by a score of 25-9 Saturday night.
Bloomsburg jumped out to a 3-0 lead after Ian Moser (Dover, De./Caesar Rodney) earned a 12-6 win at 125 pounds and led 6-3 after the 141 pound bout when Darren Kern (Pennsburg/Upper Perkiomen) picked up a 3-0 win. The Fighting Scots, though, won the next six matches, three by major decision, to grab a 25-6 lead. Bloomsburg's Mike Spaid (Perkiomenville/Boyertown), ranked ninth at 285 pounds, closed out the evening with a 2-0 win over 14th ranked Joey Fendone. The win was the 30th of the year for Spaid, the second straight season he has won at least 30 matches.
Bloomsburg, 3-5-1, will visit West Virginia on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
