Bloomsburg Wrestles at Northeast Duals
Troy, NY--The Bloomsburg University wrestling team took part in the prestigious Northeast Duals Tournament on Saturday. The Huskies beat UNC-Greensboro, 35-6, then, lost to Old Dominion, 30-6, and national power Iowa, 39-3.
On the day the Huskies' Matt Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) had three victories giving up just one points in the three bouts. At 149 pounds, George Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/Riverside) was a two-time winner picking up a 5-3 win against Old Dominion, then getting a 9-1 win in the victory over UNC-Greensboro.
The Huskies also took part in the Mat Town Open at Lock Haven with Bloomsburg's Matt Snyder (Lewistown/Lewistown) taking second place at 125 pounds.
Bloomsburg will take part in the PSAC championships on Saturday at Mercyhurst College.
