ERIE-- Sophomore Nate Graham (Selkirk, NY/Ravena) won the 174-pound title at the 2008 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships to lead Bloomsburg University to a second place finish on Saturday at Mercyhurst College.

Graham won his first-ever PSAC title with a 6-3 win over Scott Joseph of Clarion. Graham opened the tournament with a 9-3 win over Dan Tolebrt of Lock Haven, then beat Paul Paddock of Edinboro, 2-0 in the semis before his win over Joseph in the finals.

George Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/Riverside),, Matt Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) and Ricky Schmelyun (New Oxford/Bermudian Springs), all finished second for the Huskies. Hickman, at 149 pounds, lost to Torsten Gillespie of Edinbor, 3-0 in the finals. Hickman reached the finals with win overs Greg Lewis of Clarion and a 3-1 win over top-seed Matt Fittery.

Moley, at 157 pounds, lost to Gregor Gillespie of Edinboro, 3-0. Moley had reached the finals with a win by technical fall, then a 2-1 decision over Hadley Harrison of Clarion.

Schmelyun lost in the championship bout to Jarrod King of Edinboro, 7-1. Schmelyun picked up two wins by fall to reach the title match. He pinned Jeff Jacobs of East Stroudsburg in 2:06 and Jeremy Brooks of Milelrsville in 56 seconds.

At 125 pounds, Ian Moser (Dover, DE/Caesar Rodney) finished third for the Huskies downing Nick Hyatt of Lock Haven, 10-3. Moser started the tournament with a win by technical fall over Colton McFatridge of Shippensburg, but lost to Kevin Fluke of Edinboro in the semi-finals.

At 133 pounds, Jason Guffey (Muncy/Warrior Run), finished third with a 3-0 win over Billy Ashnault of Lock Haven. Guffey opened the tournament with a 6-3 win over Ashnualt, then lost in the semi's to Joe Kemmerer of Kutztown.

Ricky Donald (Millville/Millville) finished third at 141 pounds with a 6-1 win over Owen Wilkinson of Lock Haven. In Donald's first match of the tournament he won by fall in 2:54 over Tom Wiechelt of Shippensburg before losing to Joel Webster of Edinboro.

Bloomsburg's other placewinner was heavyweight Zac Walsh (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) who finished fourth.
