BLOOMSBURGBloomsburg University women's soccer player Alea Balthaser was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending September 30th.
In two games last week Balthaser scored five goals to lead the Huskies to two victories. The senior scored the last two of the team's three goals in a win over Kutztown, and then followed that up with all three of Bloomsburg's goals in a win over Millersville. For the season, Balthaser is tied for the PSAC lead in points per game with teammate Renee Williams at 2.7 per game and leads the PSAC in goals per game with nine in seven games (1.28 per game).
Balthaser is nine goals shy of the school's all-time record for goals in a career (59) and is already the school's career leader in assists (29).
Bloomsburg is 6-0-1 on the season, 2-0 in the PSAC.
