Bloomsburg University Women's Soccer Nationally Ranked
BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team is ranked 23rd by the 2002 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas National Rankings for Division II, in the latest poll released Monday.
Christian Brothers University in Tennessee (2-0) and University of California-San Diego (1-0) shared the lead for number one in the poll. The Huskies PSAC-rival, Lock Haven University, is ranked fifth after starting off the season 2-0.
The Huskies play their first game of the new season Saturday at Southhampton (NY) College. Top returnees for Bloomsburg include Renee Williams (Larksville/Wyoming Valley West) and Becky Stametz (Shamokin/Southern Columbia) on the offense, midfielder Kerry Eberhardt (Layton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) and Andrea Bauer (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) on the defense.
