Bloomsburg Downs East Stroudsburg in Women's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University improved to 7-7-1 for the year with a 3-1 win over East Stroudsburg on Monday.

The Huskies got on the board just 3:21 into the game when Lindsay Knupp (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) scored unassisted on a shot from 26 yards out.

The score remained 1-0 into the second half when Sarah Fick (Hamburg/Fleetwood) scored off an assist from Jen Fico (Monroe, Ct/Masuk) with 33 minutes left to play.

East Stroudsburg cut the margin to 2-1 with a goal from Amanda Perez off a double assist from Charlene Conklin and Kate Malear. The Huskies, though, iced the game with a goal from Alex Totino (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Sachem North) off an assist from Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen).

In goal, Bloomsburg's Brittany Moses (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) earned the win by stopping four shots.

Bloomsburg, 7-7-1, 6-4 in the PSAC, will host Millersville on Saturday at 2 p.m.
