Bloomsburg Falls to IUP in Women's Soccer
BLOOMSBURG —Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) scored the lone goal for Bloomsburg in a 3-1 loss the Indiana (PA) in women's soccer on Thursday.
The Huskies opened the scoring early in the first half when Hess scored off of a free kick by Jen Fico (Monroe, CT/Masuk). The rest of the half remained scoreless, sending the two teams into the break with the Huskies on top 1-0.
Two quick Indiana goals, midway through the second half by Kristen Dohn and Kristen Hogg, put the Indians up 2-1 with 22:40 to play in the game. Indiana's Jamie Gass sealed the win for the Indians with her first goal of the year off an assist from Emily Thomas, her second of the game.
In goal, the Huskies' Brittany Moses stopped four shots.
Bloomsburg, 7-8-2, will host Shippensburg on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Huskies season finale.
