Bloomsburg Falls to Kutztown in Women's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University lost to Kutztown 3-1 in PSAC women's soccer action Wednesday.

Kutztown opened an early lead when Julie Folsom scored an unassisted goal with 40:40 left in the first period. The Golden Bears increased their lead when Ashley Smith scored with 19:04 left in the first off of an assist from Jamie Miller. The goal put Kutztown up 2-0 going into halftime.

Kutztown added another goal when Kim Kelty scored with 39:11 left in the game off of an assist from Lauren Tatro. Bloomsburg finally struck back with 31:44 left in the game, as Lindsay Knupp (Marmora, NJ/ Ocean City) scored her first goal of the season unassisted.

Bloomsburg, 4-4, continues PSAC play Thursday when they visit IUP at 4:00 p.m.
