Bloomsburg Downs Mansfield In Women's Soccer

MANSFIELD —Bloomsburg University scored three, second half goals on its way to a 3-1 win over Mansfield University in women's soccer action Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, the Huskies broke on top when Becky Ritter (Philipsburg (Philipsburg-Osceola)scored unassisted at the 45:55 mark. Bloomsburg made it 2-0 when Jill Huffman (Bausman/Lampeter-Strasburg) hit the back of the net at 53:26.

Mansfield cut the lead in half when Quana Harper scored in the 69th minute to make it 2-1. Bloomsburg then scored with four seconds left to play on Lauren Hess' (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) goal to make the final, 3-1.

Bloomsburg, 2-1, will be at Shippensburg on Tuesday starting at 7 p.m.
