Bloomsburg Ties in Women's Soccer
BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played Millersville to a 1-1 tie on Saturday in PSAC soccer action.
Bloomsburg's Lauren Hess (East Greenville/ Upper Perkiomen) scored the only goal of the first half off of throw in from Brittany McKew (Baltimore,MD/Perry Hall) 30 minutes into the game, to give the Huskies the lead.
Millersville's Melissa Cameron tied the game from scramble after a corner kick at the 58 minute mark. Neither team scored in the overtime periods, despite several good opportunities. Bloomsburg's Robin Gerber (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) had six saves for the Huskies, while Carolyn Matisick had seven saves for the Marauders.
The Huskies, now 7-7-2, 6-4-1 in the PSAC East, host IUP on October 28th.
