Bloomsburg Falls in Women's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG —West Chester University scored 59 seconds into overtime to get by Bloomsburg University, 2-1, in women's soccer action Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, the Golden Rams took a 1-0 lead at the 59 minute mark when Kaylyn Miller scored off a Kelly Ryan assist.

The Huskies tied the score at 1-1 when Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) scored from an assist by Rebecca Callen (Woodestown, NJ/Woodstown) at the 66:48 mark.

The game remained tied at 1-1 the rest of the way forcing overtime. In the extra session, the Golden Rams got the gamewinner just 59 seconds into the period to get the victory.

Bloomsburg goalie Robin Gerber (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) played a fine game stopping six shots on the afternoon.

The Huskies, 4-6, 3-3 in the PSAC East, play at Kutztown on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
