Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Ties Kutztown
Box Score
BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie against Kutztown University on Sunday afternoon in Bloomsburg.
Defense was tight as the teams played scoreless soccer in the first half. Brittany Moses (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) saved three for the Huskies while Nicole Rodweller stopped two shots for Kutztown.
The defenses stood firm in the second half as well. The score was still 0-0 when with three minutes to play in regulation, Kutztown's Julie Folsom got passed Gerber and had a breakaway goal knocked away at the last second by a diving Eileen Alexander (East Northport, NY/Commack). The superb play preserved the 0-0 tie and the game was sent into overtime.
Neither team managed a goal in either of the overtime periods and the game ended with the score tied 0-0.
