Huskies Tie Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG- The Bloomsburg University Women's Soccer team played to a 1-1 tie at Shippensburg on Wednesday.

The Huskies got on the board first, scoring in the 40th minute, when Erin Coulahan (Hockessin, DE/Alexis Dupont) set up Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead into halftime. Shortly into the second half, Shippensburg's Jamie Goetze scored off an assist from Gayle Kuntzmann to tie the score at 1-1 and send the game to overtime.

In overtime, The Huskies out shot Shippensburg, 4-2, but could not get one past Shippensburg keeper Beth Long. Brittany Moses (East Greenville /Upper Perkiomen) had six saves in goal for the Huskies.

Bloomsburg, now 5-6-4, 4-2-1 in the PSAC, host West Chester this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
