Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Battles to Draw With Clarion

BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University women’s soccer team tied Clarion University 1-1 in overtime on Saturday, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match up.
The Huskies got on the board first when Ashley Brucker (Blairstown, NJ/North Warren) scored the lone Huskies goal of the game, a direct shot fired past Jess Reed, giving the Huskies a 1-0 advantage 18:43 into the first period.
The score would stay that way until the 54 minute mark, when Clarion’s Rachel Schmitz headed a Catlin Borden corner kick past Brittany Moses (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) to tie the game at one.
Bloomsburg had two shot attempts in the overtime periods, but could not convert. The Huskies were led in goal by Moses, who had 6 saves.
Bloomsburg, 7-5-4 (5-3-4 PSAC), returns to action on Saturday when they visit West Chester at 6 p.m.
