Women's Soccer Team Falls in PSAC Quarterfinals

EAST STROUDSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team saw its season come to a close with a 1-0 loss to East Stroudsburg in the quarterfinal round of the 2007 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs.

The teams played a scoreless first half with the Warriors holding a 3-2 edge in shot attempts, while the Huskies had three corners to one for the home team. The scoreless dual was finally broken with 16 minutes to play when East Stroudsburg's Samantha New scored unassisted. On the play, Bloomsburg goalie Robin Gerber made one of her five saves in the game, with the rebound going back to New who lobbed the ball into the left corner of the net.

Bloomsburg ends its season with a record of 7-7-4.
