Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Moves to Top Spot in NSCAA Poll
BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team has moved to the number one spot in the Atlantic Region of the Division II National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) women's soccer poll for Wednesday October 29, 2008.
The Huskies, 13-3, have won seven consecutive games, including last week's 2-1 victory over East Stroudsburg on Tuesday and a 1-0 win over Kutztown on Saturday.
Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) scored the first goal in the game against East Stroudsburg and Kelsey Stoka (Langhorne/Neshaminy) scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute. Kristine Preski (Pottstown/ Owen J. Roberts) scored the lone goal in the win over Kutztown.
West Chester is ranked number two in the Atlantic Region of the poll with an 11-1-4 record, while West Va. Wesleyan moves to the number three spot with a 14-1-0 record.
The Huskies will host West Chester tonight at 7:30 p.m. and will play their final regular season game at Millersville on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
