Women's Soccer Plays to a Tie With West Chester

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played to a 1-1, two overtime tie with West Chester on Wednesday.
A matchup of the top two teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division lived up to its billing as the teams played a scoreless first half with the Golden Rams holding a 4-3 edge in shots on goal.
In the second half, West Chester got on the board first in the 66th minute when Brittany Yetter scored. It stayed 1-0 until the 86th minute when Kristine Preski (Pottstown/Owen J. Roberts) beat West Chester goalie Hilary Smart on a corner kick. In the overtimes the Huskies held a 6-1 edge in shots on goal, but could not score.
The tie left the Huskies and the Golden Rams tied atop the PSAC East standings with 25 points each (teams awarded three points for a division win and one point for tie) with one game to play.
Bloomsburg goes to 13-3-1, 8-2-1 in the PSAC East, and will finish the regular season at Millersville on Saturday at 6 p.m.
