Bloomsburg University's Kelly Modes Named PSAC East Co-Player of the Week

BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University women's soccer player Kelly Modes (Langhorne/Neshaminy) was named the co-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week for her play last week. Modes shared the award with Beth Long of Shippensburg.

Modes accounted for all of Bloomsburg's scoring in a 1-0-1 week for the Huskies, scoring four goals on the week. She scored both goals in the Huskies' 2-1 win over East Stroudsburg last Tuesday, scoring goals on her only two shots of the game. She netted her first tally in just the seventh minute of the game and then put home the game winner in the 75th minute when her corner kick went directly into the goal. Against Edinboro on Saturday, she scored two more goals, this time on four shots, in a 2-2 tie with the Fighting Scots.

Bloomsburg, 3-4-2, will play at West Chester on Wednesday.
