Krebs Named Second Team All-American

BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg University women's soccer player Christine Krebs (South Hero, VT/South Burlington) has been named to the 1999 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Women's Soccer All-American Team. Krebs, a junior forward, was named to the second team.

She finished the 1999 season with a school record 22 goals and also had six assists in 21 games. She scored in 14 of the 21 contests and had six multiple-goal games, including a four-goal performance against California (PA) that tied the school record for goals in a game and also propelled her to the top of the Huskies' career goal scoring list. Krebs has 39 goals in her three seasons.

She was also named a first-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) all star and to the NSCAA All-Northeast Regional first team.

The 1999 Huskies finished 15-6, losing to West Chester 2-0 in the first round of PSAC playoffs.

Krebs is one of four PSAC soccer players named an NSCAA All-American. Bloomsburg has had at least one player named to the first or second team every year since 1992.
